Sometime when you’re in the mood for an adult beverage, but don’t feel like beer or distilled spirits, try one of these easy and fun wine cocktails!
MIMOSA-classic mix of orange juice and sparkling wine
-4 ounces of Extra Dry Sparkling Wine
-2 ounces of Pulp-Free Orange Juice
-pour sparkling wine in a champagne glass and add orange juice
BELLINI-an Italian Favorite
-4 ounces of Brut Sparkling Wine or Prosecco (Italian Sparkling Wine)
-2 ounces of white peach puree
-pour Prosecco in a champagne glass and add peach puree
TINCHO-a new cocktail from Argentina
–New Age White Wine
-ice
-2 lime wedges
-fill glass of choice with ice
-top off glass with New Age
-squeeze one lime wedge in glass, garnish with other wedge
ROSE BERRY BLISS
-1 bottle Rose wine, chilled
-1 bag frozen blueberries
-1 can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
-1 liter lemon-lime soda
-in a large pitcher, mix the Rose wine, blueberries and pink lemonade
-allow to chill in refrigerator for one hour
-top off pitcher with lemon lime soda and serve
WHITE WINE SANGRIA
-1 bottle white wine (use Riesling for a sweeter sangria, or use Pinot Grigio for a little drier sangria)
-2/3 cup white sugar
-1 cup orange juice
-1 orange
-1 lemon
-1 lime
-1/2 cup of club soda
-pour wine into a pitcher and squeeze half of each of the fresh lemon, lime and orange into pitcher.
-add orange juice
– slice the other half of each lemon, lime and orange into thin slices and put in pitcher.
-add sugar
-refrigerator overnight
-add club soda right before serving
**for a fun twist, make some ice cubes with orange juice and serve the sangria over the “orange” cubes
RED WINE SANGRIA
-1 bottle of red wine (use a lighter bodied wine like a generic burgundy or Spanish Tempranillo)
-1 lemon cut into wedges
-1 lime cut into wedges
-1 orange cut into wedges
-2 TBSP white sugar
-1 cup of frozen strawberries or raspberries
-1 small can diced pineapple
-4 cups ginger ale
-pour wine into large pitcher, squeeze the juice from the lemon, lime and orange wedges into pitcher and toss wedges in pitcher when done
-add diced pineapple and sugar
-refrigerate overnight
-before serving add frozen strawberries/raspberries and ginger ale
**for a fun twist, make some ice cubes with orange juice and serve the sangria over the “orange” cubes
