Moet-Chandon Grand Vintage—2015

Each Grand Vintage is unique, expressing Moët & Chandon’s Cellar Master’s personal interpretation of the year. In Champagne, 2015 was a year of tension, dramatic heat and uncertainty. It was a harvest of exceptional redskinned grapes. They showed remarkable maturity with a powerful, fruity nose and full-bodied finish. A tender and vegetal bouquet.

Initial notes of breadcrumbs, fresh brioche and almond paste give way to elderflower and jasmine, then to fruit such as white peach and watermelon on the nose. Generous, ample and supple in structure, reminiscent of the cotton flower. Floral, aniseed and mentholated nuances bring lightness and freshness. The finish lingers on a delicate bitterness evoking fresh almonds.

Ridge Estate Chardonnay—2023

The 2023 Chardonnay Estate is a unicorn wine, with the acids naturally occurring with ease in this cool, long, extended growing season that the wine world is rightfully excited about, producing wines of tremendous elegance and balance, sourced entirely from Monte Bello Estate. The minerality is off the charts, exuberantly defining the wine after a barrel fermentation of nine months on the lees in 85% American and 15% French oak. Aromas of apple fruit, brioche, and vanilla complement the focused notes on the palate of citrus, pear, bright acidity, and a clean finish that is gorgeously lengthy and bright

The Ridge Monte Bello red wine, one of the world’s most iconic wines, stands tall again. First produced in 1962, this wine continues to amaze fans year after year. Tightly wound at this stage, the wine is massively concentrated, taut, yet trim and medium-bodied. Aged in 100% new oak, predominantly American, it offers espresso, blackberry, black cherry and vanilla bean flavors with a linear intensity and drive. Known to age and improve for several decades, this is one of California’s most collectible cabs and from a classic, age-worthy vintage. Best from 2031.
