They exclusively focus on a selection of the best mid-valley sites in St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville, Mount Veeder, and Howell Mountain. Through a relationship with Andy Beckstoffer, their family is honored to have access to incredible single vineyard sites including Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III and Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper, producing highly acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon since 2012, as well as the Missouri Hopper Vineyard. The Taub family strives for elegance and extraordinary balance between ripe fruit, integrated oak and soft tannins and for each wine to embody a pure expression of its vineyard microsite or respective AVA.
“Wine has always been the centerpiece of my family’s narrative and livelihood. I grew up with a deep appreciation for the art of winemaking, and all the wonderful elements and camaraderie intrinsic to this fascinating world. My grandfather Marty played an instrumental role in the wine business from the early 1930s, jumping into the business just days after Prohibition was repealed, and my father David later joined my grandfather’s side to build upon his dream. I always knew I would follow in their footsteps. In 2013, I was fortunate to purchase Heritance Vintners, which we later evolved into Taub Family Vineyards. We continue to pay homage to the Heritance name with our Napa range. “Heritance” stems from a combination of “heritage” and “inheritance” signifying a continuation of an enduring legacy and the start of a new tradition. This commitment to our roots and future is illustrated with the valley oak featured on each label with the diamond seed planted at its base. Today, I work side-by-side with my son Jake, building upon our dream and sharing it with our extended families of wine lovers worldwide!”

Taub Family Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon—2018
The grapes are grown on the benches and foothill vineyards in premier vineyards in Rutherford. The deep and well-drained soils are primarily gravel, sand, and loam. The average age of the vines are 20-25 years old.
Deep ruby color. On the nose, this wine has ripe dark fruit such as cherries and blackberries. Oak is well integrated with baking spice and subtle cedar notes. The medium, chewy tannins display a long flavorful finish.

Taub Family Beckstoffer George III Cabernet Sauvignon—2018
The grapes are from a 4-acre block within the Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III. Historical records show that a portion of this vineyard was planted in 1895 by Mrs. Thomas Rutherford. This 300-acre parcel first purchased by Beaulieu founder Georges de Latour in 1928 and called Beaulieu Vineyard Number 3, was the home to BV’s Rutherford Cabernets made by the renowned winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff. This limited release wine is considered the king of Cabernets. Each bottle is individually numbered.
Complex aromas with black cherry, vanilla, sage, blueberry, and roasted notes, the wine reveals layers of silky, refined tannins and a firm structure. Dark fruit layers over a harmonious and balanced palate creating a seamless and ageworthy wine. This vineyard and clonal selection imparts opulence, intensity, structure, complexity.
