Timeless by Silver Oak—Red Blend—2017
The first vintage of Timeless Napa Valley is a harmonious and integrated wine that deftly balances high acidity and supple fruit to create age worthy structure and character. Neither location nor variety can be overlooked when tasting this wine. Notes of pomegranate and cherry signify the ever-present diurnal shift at the property while aromas of wisteria, licorice and mint indicate attention paid to each block and their individually timed harvests. Carried by essences of rose, plum and tart red fruit, a outhwatering ripple of bright acidity meets balancing, savory flavors of minty balsam, licorice and stewed black fruits. The dichotomy of plush, ripe fruit that still maintains high acidity is a rare result of the long growing season and multiple-pass harvesting techniques. Once fermented and blended, the 2017 vintage rested in French oak barrels for 16 months. This time is marked by flavors of black pepper, cacao, cozy mulling spices and velvety tannins. Natural grape tannins integrated with that of the oak barrels, natural grape tannins provide firm grip and complex flavors on the palate.

Daou Soul of a Lion Cabernet Sauvignon—2019
Each bottle of Soul of a Lion represents a nine-year journey of passionate curation. This journey begins with rare bois rosé French oak barrels whose staves are seasoned in the elements for five years prior to coopering. The wine is then aged for nearly two years in these proprietary Daou 5-Year barrels conceived by Winemaker Daniel Daou. Finally, it is held for extended bottle maturation prior to allocation — ensuring that each vintage has achieved perfection upon release.
Soul of a Lion is the masterwork of Winemaker Daniel Daou, who combines technical innovation with the touch of an artist. The fruit for Soul of a Lion is identified early and reverently tended through harvest. The berries are optically sorted to ensure pure fruit integrity, and the wine is made exclusively from free-run juice. During fermentation, Daniel employs proprietary phenolic management techniques to complement his own sensory expertise. The resulting wine displays a rare trifecta of power, density and elegance.
The 2019 Soul of a Lion is a blockbuster vintage that showcases how Bordeaux varieties are remarkably suited to the terroir of Daou Mountain. This wine explodes from the glass with a kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors, including blackberry, blueberry, black currant, dark cherry, sweet tobacco, and licorice. An added floral dimension imparts an integrated sense of elegance and freshness. While full-bodied with ultra-high phenolic levels, this wine maintains its evenness and poise through an xtraordinarily
long finish. Structured, balanced, and powerful, the 2019 Soul of a Lion will reveal its full magnitude after several years of careful cellaring.
Blend: 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot

Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon—2019
Produced by California royalty Daou Vineyards, Patrimony is a top-of-the-line Cabernet built for the cellar. Absolutely no corners were cut when producing this wine, it is made using old-world techniques like natural fermentation, and new-world technology like optical sorting for selecting only the best fruit. Patrimony is a must-have wine for any serious California Wine collector.
Patrimony is rooted in the unrivaled terroir of Daou Mountain. The phenolics produced on this mountain are known to be among the highest in the world, fostering an immensity of color, depth, and structure. In order to extract the purest and most elevated expression of this terroir, a purposeful omission is required. For this reason, only select vineyard rows are chosen for Patrimony cultivation. By the time the fruit is aggressively thinned, optically sorted, and used only for its free-run juice, a minimal percentage of the total potential yield actually meets the exacting standard we set for Patrimony. Fermentation proceeds exclusively with wild yeasts cultured from Daou Mountain, imbuing the wine with native texture and character.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an uber-concentrated wine that offers explosive aromas of lilac, hibiscus, thyme, and dark chocolate. Intense qualities of ripe blackberries, black currant, and blueberries accompany a beautiful harmony of flavors that begin with an impressive entry and linger for several minutes. Full-bodied and silky in texture, this wine displays immense elegance backed by a wonderful minerality, all while remaining fresh and vibrant. This wine will reward careful cellaring and bottle aging for decades to come.
