Happy Harry’s Direct Offer No. 24
Schrader Cellars
Fred Schrader founded Schrader Cellars in 1998 with a goal of making the best Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon possible. Since then, the brand has gained renown for its incredible vineyard sourcing (Beckstoffer To Kalon, Las Piedras, and Georges III) and remarkably gifted winemaker, Thomas Brown. Since its inception, Schrader has achieved a total of thirty-five 100-point scores from the likes of The Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Jeb Dunnuck, and James Suckling.
Drawing from his fine art background and the knowledge that pedigree sustains throughout the process, Fred knew that to create the finest wines he had to begin with the finest grapes. As true today as it was when Fred started Schrader Cellars, their benchmark wines are made from grapes grown exclusively on Napa Valley’s most prestigious and historic vineyard estates.
Originally planted by pioneer Hamilton Crabb in 1868, To Kalon – meaning ‘highest beauty’ in Greek – is a noble first growth estate in Oakville that has established itself as the preeminent source of Napa Valley’s finest grapes. The vineyard is defined by its high mineral content and exceptional drainage, offering optimal north-south sun exposure by day with cool coastal breezes at night that we feel is the ideal environment for growing their Cabernet Sauvignon.
We are excited to be able to present these very limited wines to our customers just in time for the Holiday Season! Any of these three historic 2019 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons would be a great gift for that wine enthusiast in your life.
Schrader T6 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon —2019
Schrader T6 is made from Clone 6, an old California heritage clone that’s notoriously shy-bearing. It is super-ripe, sexy, and spicy. It opens with a cavalcade of wild strawberries, blackberries, black currants, plums, and raspberries, layered with exciting notes of exotic spice, white pepper, and tea leaves. On the palate — this full-bodied wine dazzles with an explosion of black cherries, mixed berries, dark plums, and raspberries paired with an almost equally impactful mix of sweet and savory spice that continues through the everlasting finish. The fine natural balance and well-toned tannins beautifully support the enormous fruit core of this sensational wine. Best from 2024-2040!

Schrader RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon —2019
Elegance and finesse are the hallmarks of the 2019 Schrader RBS. Made from pure clone 337 Cabernet, the wine offers an extravagant mix of blue and purple fruits seamlessly woven together to create a magnificent expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon entry, the wine delivers copious amounts of cassis, wild blueberries, and roasted plums laced with a mosaic of violets, licorice, tobacco leaf, and fragrant earth. Medium- to full-bodied, the silky tannins and velvety texture make this wine eminently approachable in its youth, and the underlying firm backbone provides for enhanced richness with additional cellar aging. It’s one of the more approachable Schrader wines in this vintage, but it should easily go another two decades.
