Half Brothers Brewing has quickly become a fan favorite with our staff and our patrons over the years. With their inventive style they always impress me with their beers. It doesn’t hurt that their head brewmaster, Chad Gunderson, used to work at the Happy Harry’s on Gateway Drive during his college years.
At Half Brothers, producing superior suds is a family affair. Together, siblings Chad and Taylor have created a 10-barrel production brewery, taproom located Downtown that specializes in locally inspired hand-crafted beers. A few noteworthy concoctions are the Grand Forks Classic Pale Ale, Morning Squeeze IPA and famously elusive Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows Fruited Sour Ale. Enjoy toe-tapping live tunes with your brews every weekend on the Half Brothers’ stage. They also have seasonal outdoor seating.

Their Beertenders are all experienced brewers with a passion for brewing new and interesting beer. All their staff members are trained to know everything about their brewing process and are happy to answer questions or engage in lively beer geek debate.

Light bodied and easy drinking, this Golden ale is sure to appease most beer drinkers taste buds. Light crisp and clean finish with just the right amount of hops. Great for a local light beer option. ABV 4.5%
Just the right amount of hops to balance out the citrusy and sweet notes of this remarkable balanced beer. IPA never tasted so good! This is for sure my go to IPA from the region. Lovely notes of orange peel and pine. Sure, to please almost all IPA drinkers. ABV 6.5%
This Lactose Sour with Vanilla and Tangerine is something I have been craving and didn’t even know it. With the first sip I was hooked. The vanilla notes are very pleasing with the citrusy tangerine taste to finish. Makes it taste like a creamsicle…how do they do it?! Cheers to you Half Bros. Nice work! ABV 6.0%
This is a home run for Half Bros. Tasty lemonade in a beer is a solid choice on those hot days. Light and refreshing with a nice tart kick. You won’t be able to miss this can on the shelf with its Pink Fluffy Unicorn on the label. I love the artwork on the cans as much as the tasty contents. Don’t pass this one up next time you see it on our shelves! ABV 6.0%.
