The original Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill in Lincoln, Nebraska’s Historic Haymarket started with delicious, uncompromising food and quickly evolved into a brewery dedicated to meticulously crafting unforgettable microbrews that beer enthusiasts and novices alike enjoyed savoring—that company is Empyrean Brewing Co.

Ancient civilizations believed paradise existed at the highest point in the universe, within a fiery sphere they called “The Empyrean.” Inspired by this sentiment, they set out to infuse every batch of our handcrafted ales with their unique notion of paradise—take a journey with them, one sip at a time.

Empyrean has been crafting fine brews as its own entity since 1997 with distribution across the Midwest including the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Minnesota. From its 500 barrel a year in their first years of the brewery, to 3200 barrels (100,000 gallons) in 2005, and now in 2020 they have secured historical preservation rights to break ground on a state-of-the-art brewery in the South Haymarket area of Lincoln, the sky is the limit to where Empyrean can go. TASTING NOTES

Originally packaged as Carpe Brewed Black and Blueberry Ale, this fruity with a hint of maltiness. This beer has been a fan favorite since packaged. Find your thrill….Navigate the cosmos and awaken your senses to fresh blueberry and biscuit malts with subtle, stimulating dark notes.  ABV 5%, IBU 16.  Food Pairings: Grilled Fish, Ice Cream, and crème brulee.

Inspired by the hybrid American beer style spurred by California’s gold rush 150yrs ago, they brew this beer with a modern twist. The backbone of smooth Pilsner malt and a touch of sharp rye complement the finish: a candy-citrus and fruit character from our blend of Amarillo and Galaxy hops. Smooth and light bodied like all good summer beers, Super Nova is a formula for the modern era.  ABV 5%. IBU 33.  Food Pairings: Grilled meats, cinnamon and caramel desserts.

Pucker up and embrace your wild side with this refreshing Kolsch-style ale fermented with lemon puree. Made with Pilsner and Vienna malts with lemon drop hops to round out this deliciously refreshing beer which is sure to please the senses. Squeeze the day!  ABV 5%, IBU 22.  Food Pairings: Summer salad, Breaded walleye, Shrimp Scampi

Plunge face-first into a cool, desert mirage, dripping with sunshine citrus and lemonade highlights. Warm, dry-hop aromas and flavors vibrate around you. A wheat-centered pale ale, generously dry-hopped for effect. Pale and crisp with lemon citrus highlights. Emerge refreshed, without carbs(4g) or calories (110). Keep on ridin, long after the sun goes down.  ABV 4%, IBU 10.  Food Pairings: Flaky Grilled fish, Creamy Pastas and hearty salads.
